Lluis Blanch, MD, PhD
SENIOR INTENSIVIST AND CONSULTANT AT THE CRITICAL CARE CENTRE OF HOSPITAL DE SABADELL
Dr. Lluis Blanch is senior intensivist and consultant at the Critical Care Centre of Hospital de Sabadell in Spain. He is research and innovation director of the Corporació Sanitària Parc Taulí and Director of the University Institute Fundació Parc Taulí at Universitat Autònoma of Barcelona, Spain. Dr Blanch’s research interests involve translational research on acute lung and brain injury and innovation projects on on-line monitoring of critically ill patients. He has more than 160 Pub Med indexed publications. Dr Blanch’s factor H citation index is 28. He has been a member of the Executive Committee of The European Society of Intensive Care Medicine, president of the Scientific Committee of the Spanish Society of Critical Care and president of the Catalan Critical Care Society. At present, he is president of the Spanish Society of Critical Care. Dr. Blanch is a member of the board of several journals and reviewer of the top first-quartile journals in the respiratory and critical care fields.
Dr. Blanch is joined by Dr. Stefano Nava. Dr. Nava is a full-time professor of respiratory and critical care at the University of Bologna and director of the fellowship program. Additionally, he is chief of respiratory and critical care at Sant’ Orsola Malpighi Hospital in Bologna, Italy.
